Broccoli And Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli, cooked
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    1/2 c. flour
    6 c. milk
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 c. cooking water from broccoli
    1 stalk celery, finely chopped
    4 to 5 slices American cheese (do not use imitation)
Preparation
    Saute onion and celery in a large pot over low heat until soft.
    Add flour, stirring until smooth.
    Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Gradually add milk and bouillon cubes.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Add broccoli, 2 cups of the cooking water, pepper and garlic powder.
    Simmer approximately 15 minutes, then add the cheese. Simmer another 10 to 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted, stirring constantly.
