Hamburger Corn Pone Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
    1 1/4 c. kidney or pinto beans, drained
Preparation
    Cook onion in hot shortening until yellow.
    Add beef and brown well.
    Add seasonings, tomatoes and beans, simmer 15 minutes. Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole and top with cornbread batter, spread well to edge.
