Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, sliced
    2 green peppers, cut fine
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 tsp. chili powder or paprika
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Fry onions and peppers lightly in shortening. Add meat and fry until mixture falls apart. Add tomatoes, rice and seasonings and mix. Bake in spray-coated and covered casserole at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
