Chocolate Chip Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. hot water
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. margarine (1 c.)
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cocoa
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine dates, hot water and soda. Cream butter, margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, salt and cocoa. Combine all ingredients and add 1/2 package (6 ounce) chocolate chips and 1/2 package (6-ounce) butterscotch bits. Pour into greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Sprinkle remaining chips and chopped nuts on top. Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes in 9 x 13 baking pan.
