Grandma Jagger'S Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean beef chunks
    1 doz. medium potatoes, peeled and chunked (cut large; will shrink by half)
    1 lb. carrots, peeled and chunked
    1 onion, diced
    1 lb. celery, diced
    salt, pepper and garlic to taste
Preparation
    Brown beef with spices in hot oil.
    (Tip:
    Use your boiling pot; saves dishes.)
    Drain.
    Add vegetables and fill pot with water to 1 inch below top edge.
    (Tip:
    Don't boil over.)
    Bring to a boil, then cook on low heat for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Serves a small army and tastes great reheated.
    Can be cooled and frozen for later.
