Homemade Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. beef (small pieces or left over roast)
    1 or 2 onions
    1 bag frozen mixed vegetables for soup (the kind that has okra) or use your own veggies
    about 1 qt. mixed whole tomatoes
    1 (64 oz.) V-8 juice
    1 small head cabbage
    rice, macaroni or alphabet letters (optional)
Preparation
    Brown beef or leftover roast, cut in small pieces, slightly in large pan or Dutch oven.
    Add onion, mixed vegetables and cabbage.
    Dump in tomatoes.
    Cut up some with spoon as you mix in a little.
    Add V-8 juice.
    Simmer as long as you like on a cold day, or in crock-pot if you can't be home.
    Shortly before serving, add a handful of rice, macaroni or alphabet macaroni.
