Sandbakkels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 egg (unbeaten)
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar very well.
Add the egg and almond extract.
Add the flour to make a stiff dough.
Pinch off a small ball of dough and place it in center of the special tins and with your thumb, work the dough evenly on the side, spreading the dough as thin as possible on the bottom and sides of each tin.
Place filled tins on a cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool before removing from tins. To remove, invert tin and tap gently; cookies should drop out. Clean tins before storing with a dry cloth.
These are time consuming to make, but worth the effort.
