Yum Yum Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 small pkg. lemon jello
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 pt. whipped cream or equivalent Cool Whip
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix pineapple and sugar.
    Mix jello with hot water and add to pineapple and sugar.
    Let stand until it starts to jell, then add cheese, whipped cream and pecans; mix well and let stand overnight in the refrigerator.
