Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. milk
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Mix eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Stir in hot milk.
    Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    (Dash top with nutmeg, if desired.)
    Bake in hot oven at 475\u00b0 for 5 minutes, then reduce heat to 425\u00b0 and bake for 10 minutes.
