Orange-Date-Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. orange slice candy, cut up
1 pkg. dates, cut up
1 c. coconut
3 c. flour
2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. flour (put over dates, pecans and candy)

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Mix flour and baking soda.
Add flour mixture and buttermilk alternately. Add pecans, dates and orange slice mixture.
Add coconut.
Bake in tube pan at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour or until firm.
Remove from pan and pour glaze over.
