George Washington'S Christmas Nog(About 4 Quarts) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brandy
    1 c. whiskey
    1/2 c. Jamaican rum
    1/2 c. dry sherry
    12 eggs, separated
    3/4 c. sugar
    4 c. milk
    1/4 c. half and half or cream
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients.
    Beat egg yolks.
    Add sugar gradually and beat until light and lemon-colored.
    Add 1 cup liquor mixture, a drop at a time, beating slowly.
    Stir in milk and half and half or cream.
    Beat egg whites until they form soft peaks and fold into egg yolk mixture.
    Chill.
