Sweet Pickle Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cucumber
    3 3/4 c. vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    41/2 tsp. turmeric
    3/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Use fresh, medium cucumbers.
    Wash and cut into sticks.
    Pour boiling water over cucumbers and let stand 3 to 4 hours.
    Drain and pack into clean jars.
    Mix solution.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Pour hot mixture over cucumbers in jars. Put lids and rings on jars. Process in hot water bath for 5 minutes.
    Makes 6 pints.
