Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. water
4 egg yolks
3 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. lemon juice
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sugar
1 baked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation

Blend cornstarch, 1 1/2 cups sugar and salt in saucepan.
Stir in water gradually.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until boiling.
Boil 1 minute.
Stir half of mixture slowly into egg yolks.
Return to pan.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add butter and juice.
