Ingredients

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 - 8 oz. can drained, crushed pineapple
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups plain flour
1/4 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Add pineapple and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together and add to pineapple mixture. Stir in pecans. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
