Gumdrop Macaroons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. finely cut gumdrops
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together and add chopped gumdrops.
    Cream butter.
    Add sugars gradually.
    Beat in egg and vanilla.
    Blend in gumdrop mixture.
    Mix in nuts, oatmeal and coconut.
    Shape into 1-inch balls.
    Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet (greased) and flatten with a fork.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cool on rack.
    Makes 4 dozen 3-inch cookies.
