Ingredients

1 c. persimmon pulp
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
Preparation

Mix persimmon pulp and soda. Let stand. Cream shortening, sugar and egg until soft and well blended. Sift flour, salt and spices together. Add pulp mixture into creamed mixture. Gradually add dry mixture, then nuts and raisins. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
