Angel Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    3/4 c. white sugar
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. crisp rice cereal
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 c. flaked coconut
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add dates and beat about 3 minutes.
    Stir in nuts, cereal and vanilla.
    Cool. Drop into small balls and roll each in coconut.
    Yields 2 1/2 dozen balls.
