Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. ripe bananas, mashed
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs. Mix dry ingredients; add alternately with bananas to creamed mixture.
    Stir in nuts. Pour into well-greased loaf pan.
    Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until done.
    (Insert toothpick into center; if it comes out clean, bread is done.)
    When thoroughly cool, wrap in foil and store in refrigerator or freeze.
    Flavor improves after refrigeration.
