Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. quick cooking oats
    1/2 c. oleo
    3/4 c. flour
    1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with a nonstick coating.
    Combine sugar, oats, nuts, oleo and flour. Mix until crumbly with fork.
    Reserve 1 1/2 cups of crumbly mixture.
    Spread the remainder in the bottom of the pan.
    Spread pie filling evenly over crumb crust.
    Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over top.
    Press gently into filling.
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until browned.
    Good served warm with whipped topping.
