Apple Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
4 or 5 small apples
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg or cinnamon
3/4 c. nuts
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add egg.
Add flour sifted with baking soda.
Cut apples and nuts thin.
Dough seems to thicken, but apples make moisture.
Use small square pan or double for 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream.
