My Mother'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cocoa and milk and bring to a boil.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add flour and soda, alternately with milk. Combine egg and vanilla; stir well.
    Combine the two mixtures and pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch or 10 x 15-inch pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Watch closely as it bakes quickly.
