Beef Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
3 large onions, sliced
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 clove garlic, minced
3 c. beef stock
1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
2 c. diced potatoes
1 c. diced celery
1 c. diced green beans
1 c. diced carrots
1 c. dry red wine
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. thyme
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

In a large soup kettle, saute onion in butter until soft, but not browned.
Add meat and garlic and cook until meat is brown. Drain off fat.
Add all remaining ingredients.
Bring soup to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer 1 hour.
