Hamburger Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. diced potatoes
1 c. diced carrots
1 c. shredded cabbage
1 c. diced celery
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
1/4 c. rice
3 c. water
4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. basil
1 (5 oz.) can tomato juice
Preparation

Cook beef and onions together until browned; drain excess fat. Add all remaining ingredients and bring mixture to a boil.
Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until vegetables are done.
