English Toffee Bars - cooking recipe

4 plain Hershey bars
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. water
1 c. chopped nutmeats
2 sticks Parkay oleo
1 Tbsp. white Karo
Preparation

Break up Hershey bars; set aside.
Spread chopped nutmeats on sheet of foil.
Cook sugar, oleo, water and white Karo to hard crack stage (300\u00b0).
Pour hot mixture over nutmeats.
Spread to cover nuts.
Place Hershey bits on top, spreading as it melts. Cool completely and break into pieces.
