Lane Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 egg whites
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 1/4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
pinch of salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat egg whites until they hold a peak, but not dry.
Cream butter and sugar well.
Sift flour and baking powder together and add butter and sugar mixture alternately with milk.
Add beaten egg whites, salt and vanilla and make in 3 layers at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
