Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 small onion, finely chopped
3/4 c. milk
1 egg

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Add onion.
Stir in milk and egg.
Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls into hot fat until brown.
Makes 2 dozen.
