Oven Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. instant chicken bouillon granules
    1 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
    1 c. long grain rice
    1 c. shredded carrots
    1/4 c. sliced green onion
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In a 1 1/2-quart casserole, stir together water, butter or margarine, bouillon granules and thyme. Microwave on High (100% power) 3 to 4 minutes to bring to boil. Stir to dissolve bouillon granules.
    Stir in rice, carrot and onion.
    Cover tightly.
    Bake 35 minutes.
    Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes.
    Fluff with a fork.
    Makes 6 servings.
