Ginger Pear Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium pears, peeled, cored and halved
    1/4 c. orange juice
    8 gingersnap cookies, crushed
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. walnuts, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted
    whipped cream for topping (optional)
Preparation
    Place pears cut-side up in baking dish.
    Drizzle with orange juice.
    Sprinkle with mixture of cookies, sugar, nuts and butter. Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes, until pears are tender.
    Serve warm with whipped cream topping, if desired.
