Martha'S Waffles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, separated
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Beat milk, egg yolks and oil.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Beat until smooth.
    Set aside.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold egg whites into batter.
    Pour into hot waffle iron. Makes three 9-inch waffles.
