Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. sirloin steak, cut into chunks
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 c. celery
    2 cans bean sprouts
    1 can Chinese vegetables
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. sorghum
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Brown beef in oil.
    Add 2 cups water; simmer until meat is tender.
    Add onion, celery and soy sauce; cook for 10 minutes. Rinse and add vegetables and bean sprouts.
    Cook 10 minutes longer.
    Thicken with mixture of sorghum, cornstarch, ginger and 1/4 cup water.
    Serve over rice.
