Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 5 large apples
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. shortening, melted (use half butter and half shortening)
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
Preparation
    Peel and slice apples and place in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apples.
    Let stand.
    Mix flour, salt, baking powder, melted shortening, sugar and egg together. Spread over apples.
    (This mixture will be quite thick but once in the oven, it will spread out.) Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
