Microwave Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 c. diced celery
4 oz. chopped mushrooms (optional)
2 c. chicken broth
1 c. long grain rice
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
Preparation

Combine butter, onion and celery in 1 1/2-quart glass dish. Cover and bake on High 3 to 4 minutes.
Add broth.
Cook on High until boils (3 to 5 minutes).
Add rice.
Stir and cook 15 to 18 minutes on Simmer 50% power.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Four ounces chopped mushrooms can be added when you add the rice.
