Red Clam Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. oil
    1/4 lb. butter
    3 to 4 cloves garlic
    1 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/2 c. parsley
    2 to 3 cans minced clams with juice
    1 large (28 oz.) can tomato puree
Preparation
    Saute garlic in butter and oil, then add oregano, basil, cayenne pepper and parsley.
    Add the minced clams with the juice and the large can of tomato puree.
    Simmer for 1 hour.
    This recipe doubles and triples easily.
