Cheese-Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 to 10 c. sliced potatoes
    6 Tbsp. butter
    6 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
    1 small onion, grated
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in small amount of water until just glossy. Melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add milk gradually, stirring constantly.
    Cook and stir until thick and smooth.
    Remove from heat; add cheese, stirring until melted. Spoon potatoes in baking dish;
    arrange onion over potatoes.
    Pour cheese sauce over all.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
    Yields 10 to 12 servings.
