Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk, scalded
    1 c. mashed potatoes
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/2 c. water (warm)
    6 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients.
    Let cool to lukewarm, while dissolving yeast in the warm water.
    Mix all ingredients and add 4 cups flour; mix well.
    Knead in 2 more cups flour.
    Place in greased bowl.
    Grease top of dough.
    Cover with towel.
    Keep in refrigerator until 2 hours before time to use.
    Take out of refrigerator and cut out donuts.
    Let rise.
    Cook in hot shortening.
