Prune Cake And Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. vegetable oil
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 tsp. ground allspice
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. prunes, cooked and chopped
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. plus 1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine sugar, oil and eggs in a mixing bowl.
    Beat on medium speed of an electric mixer for 1 minute.
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk and set aside.
