Diabetic Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. dates, cut up
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 stick margarine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. prunes
    1 c. water
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cook dates, raisins and prunes in the 1 cup water for 5 minutes.
    Add margarine, cool and stir.
    Add beaten eggs, flour, soda and vanilla.
    Add nuts and cinnamon.
    Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
