Grandma Jo'S Irish Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. RapidRise yeast
    1 1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. milk
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Set aside 2 cups flour.
    In a large bowl, mix remaining flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
    Heat water, milk and margarine to 125\u00b0 to 130\u00b0.
    Stir into dry mixture.
    Mix in only enough reserved flour to make a soft dough.
    On a floured surface, knead for 4 minutes. Put into a greased bowl.
    Place the bowl in a pan of hot tap water.
    Cover the bowl and let rise for 15 to 20 minutes. Divide in half and roll out on a floured surface. Cut into squares and fry in shortening or oil until lightly browned on both sides.
