One-Bowl Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 2/3 c. sifted cake flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. softened butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
    1 c. milk
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour two 8 or 9-inch round cake pans or one 12 3/4 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa into a medium size mixing bowl.
    Add butter, milk and vanilla.
    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed with an electric mixer or 300 strokes by hand.
    Scrape sides of bowl often.
    Add eggs and beat 2 minutes longer.
    Pour batter into prepared pans.
    Bake 8-inch cakes 35 to 40 minutes, 9-inch cakes 30 to 35 minutes and oblong cake 45 to 50 minutes until top springs back when lightly touched with finger.
    Cool on wire cake racks 10 minutes before removing from pan.
    Remove from pan and cool completely before frosting.
    Use frosting of your choice.
