My Favorite Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. wet light bread
    3 eggs, separated
    juice of 1 large lemon
    3 Tbsp. sugar for meringue
    butter size of an egg
Preparation
    Remove crusts from bread and dip in bowl of water until wet. Squeeze
    out
    water
    and measure in cup, not packing too tight. Put
    sugar,
    wet
    bread,
    egg
    yolks,
    lemon juice and butter
    in double
    boiler.
    Cook
    until thick enough to stand when cut.
    Pour into baked crust.
    Make meringue of whites and sugar and
    cover pie
    from edge to edge.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
