South Philly'S Sunday Gravy(Tomato Sauce) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (24 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1 (24 oz.) can tomato puree
    1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. parsley
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 small onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    In large quart pot, saute garlic and parsley.
    Empty can of tomato paste with two cans of water.
    Cook for 10 minutes.
    Add tomatoes, with can of water and tomato puree.
    Add basil.
    Cook on very low heat.
    Stir constantly, every 20 minutes.
    Cook for at least 3 hours.
    Add meat balls and Italian sausages or serve over favorite pasta without meat.
