Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 1/2 c. celery
    1 bunch green onions or 1 medium red onion
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    8 strips bacon, crumbled or 1 bottle bacon bits
    1/2 c. green pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. green peas
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise (Hellmann's) or Ranch dressing
    1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese or Parmesan cheese
    cauliflower and broccoli (if desired)
Preparation
    Tear lettuce and place in bottom of a long casserole dish. Layer vegetables.
    Spread mayonnaise and sprinkle with cheese, bacon and sugar. Refrigerate overnight before serving.
