Halushki - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head cabbage
    2 to 3 large onions
    1/2 to 3/4 lb. butter
    salt and pepper
    1 pkg. Kluski noodles
Preparation
    Cut up cabbage and onions in a large pot and cook covered in 1/2 pound butter.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Stir occasionally.
    Cook until tender.
    Cook Kluski noodles.
    Drain and mix with cabbage and onions.
    Add 1/4 pound butter (if desired).
