24-Hour Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage, shredded
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 carrot, chopped
    1/4 to 1/2 green pepper, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. oil
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/8 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Mix vegetables together with salt and pepper.
    Combine sugar, oil, vinegar and celery seed in small saucepan.
    Simmer until clear.
    Pour hot mixture over vegetables and store in refrigerator for about 24 hours before serving.
