Dixie Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. white cornmeal
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings or butter, melted
Preparation
    Stir dry ingredients; add buttermilk, egg and drippings, mixing just until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Pour into a greased (hot) 10-inch ovenproof skillet.
    Bake in a preheated 450\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
