Sesame Chicken With Noodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 chicken breast halves, skinned and boned
    1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
    1/3 c. soy sauce
    1/4 c. dry sherry
    2 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sesame oil
    1 tsp. minced fresh ginger
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1 sweet red pepper, cut into strips
    1/4 c. sliced scallions or green onions
    1 c. shredded red cabbage
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
    2 Tbsp. sesame seed
    2 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley
    8 oz. cooked spinach noodles or egg noodles
Preparation
    Cut chicken into 3 x 1/2-inch strips; set aside.
    Combine brown sugar and the next 8 ingredients in a 2-quart shallow casserole. Add chicken; toss gently to coat.
    Cover and chill 30 minutes. Drain chicken, reserving 1/4 cup marinade.
    Return chicken to casserole.
    Combine reserved marinade and cornstarch; pour over chicken and toss.
    Cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, turning back one corner to vent.
    Microwave at High 5 minutes.
    Stir in sweet red pepper and scallions.
    Cover with plastic wrap, venting corner.
    Microwave at High 2 to 3 minutes, or until chicken is done.
    Stir in cabbage and remaining ingredients, except noodles. Cover; let stand 1 minute.
    Serve over noodles.
    Yields 4 servings.
