Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp. baking soda, in 5 Tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 or 3 overripe bananas (depending on size), mashed
1 c. nutmeats, cut fine
Preparation

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
Add buttermilk with soda and the vanilla.
Add flour and salt; mix thoroughly.
Stir in bananas.
Add nuts.
Pour into greased and floured bread pan and bake 1 hour (or until done) in 350\u00b0 oven.
This bread is very moist and freezes well.
