Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    1 pkg. caramels
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. milk chocolate chips
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    First, mix the cake as directed on the package.
    Spread 1/2 batter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake for 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Then melt caramels with milk and butter.
    Pour the caramel mixture over cake.
    Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
    Then pour the remainder of cake batter over top and bake 30 minutes.
    There is no frosting necessary.
