Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar for 10 minutes.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating 5 minutes after each addition of egg.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
    Add alternately with milk to mixture.
    Blend in coconut.
    Turn into well-greased and floured tube pan. Place in cold oven and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
