Divinity Pumpkin Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. salt
1 baked 9-inch pie shell
sweetened whipped cream (optional) or beat egg whites and bake in oven until nice and brown
1 c. fresh prepared or canned 1/4 pumpkin
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch, spices and salt together in heavy saucepan.
Add pumpkin and milk; stir to blend well.
Set over moderate heat and cook, stirring constantly, until thick and boiling.
Beat egg yolks; add about half of the hot mixture gradually to egg yolks, stirring constantly.
Return to pan and bring back to a boil, stirring constantly.
Boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Add marshmallows and stir until marshmallows are melted and mixture is blended.
Cool, do not chill.
